I am a traditional artist working in two mediums;
acrylic on to stretched Canvas and gouache on to watercolour paper.
These are completely different mediums but both allow me to express myself with depth and colour.
My technique is mostly self taught, with a little help and inspiration
from the late Worcestershire artist Robin Jennings.
I pay attention to detail to ensure proportions are accurate and I like to experiment and mediums whether it be the use of knife to add texture with acrylic or experimenting with collage.
I exhibit in galleries in Worcestershire and the Lake District.
In the last 12 months I was invited to participate
in the Re-Wyre Subway Deluxe Initiative to improve
subways in Kidderminster by creating a walk through
street art gallery. I have participated in two events,
both have been rewarding. This new medium has
challenged me to rethink the way I work and inspired
me to on a series of large format paintings.
I am currently working on a portfolio of
woodland streams and portraits.
